the thing i think no one tells these new kids about making their own website is that its 1. fun if you’re a puzzle freak bc its basically making problems for yourself to solve lol 2. mostly just copy and pasting other people’s CSS or css from w3cschools
so theres no like, innate skill level you need in order to make a website. just the time and desire to keep hitting “preview page” and then staring at the page trying to figure out which piece of code broke what
Sorry for the shill, but it’s also surprisingly easy to *make* a puzzle game in HTML, too! The original Myst was basically a Powerpoint presentation with click zones on it, to move between slides. My personal website, nes.gay, is based around the same principle. I made mine with 3D models, but you can just draw things too. And switch between images/locations, on a click.
With a few simple, hacky solutions, you can even implement moving features and puzzles. Behind you & to the right, from where you begin in the library, is a TV. Click on it, then the power button, and it turns on! You can even change channels! The programming for this isn’t hard, it’s just “when button pressed, change the image displayed”. Think what kind of puzzles you could make, if you made more buttons like that! So many things are possible with only the simplest of webpages… the internet truly is a place of magic
